Help my A/C is roasting!!!
I've got a newborn and really can't afford to pay a stealer excess $$$ to tell me what's wrong if it's a relatively inexpensive fix.
Thanks,
Chad
I'm getting a really bad feeling this is going to cost me big bucks

Thanks everyone for your help. I'll keep checking as long as you've got ideas

Good luck
The last time I saw the flashing AC light was after leaving the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor disconnected. Compressor will not run if there is a fault here. The sensor is just below and in front of the coolant reservoir tank on the passenger side.
So firstly, check the wiring and the sensor.
Can you say if the fans are running? Without fans, high pressure will switch off the compressor.
If your 134A has leaked out, pressure will be too low, same result.
Interestingly, if the freon has been leaking out of your system, there will be a brief period where the system will actually kick out very cold air as pressures are so low in the system. This ties in with your description.
Unfortunately, with these low temps and Texas humidity, the evaporator will ice up, eventually blocking airflow.
System will eventually quit altogether.
Without the system running, you will need some gauges to check the static pressure.
Owners manual indicates that you should expect to see 100psi @ 90 degrees air temp with the system off (either the high or low side...)
Low-pressure access is near bulkhead by the battery on the passenger side.
Check all visible pipes, condenser etc for an oil stain. This may help indicate location of the leak.
Let us know
Good Luck
Dave
