Default I beat wheel hop!! Yeah!!!!

After my last dyno of just under 400 rwhp, I was very disappointed when I let out the clutch and the back end started jumping. HP just doesn't mean a thing if you can't put it on the road. I don't know if my fix will work for everyone, but the ECS boys put in '04 Z06 shocks and lowered the car 1". I have never been so happy about being able to sit there and spin the tires! Smoooothhh For those with the problem, it may be worth a try no matter what because even if it doesn't work, the improvement in handling is still worth it. Gonna smoke my Yokos till they're gone. Anybody got a pair of Nittos they're looking to lose?

Glad to hear your mods had this added benefit for you.

DTE's recommendations for countering wheel hop include:

Good shocks
Proper alignment
Poly A-Arm bushings

Some sticky tires and/or a differential brace don't hurt either.

Figured I'd leave the tires for last. I'm pretty sure tires alone would not have cured it.

I just got my car back two weeks ago from ECS. They did a great job with a cam swap and LT Kooks headers. 404rwhp on the dyno. Your mod sounds like something I want to look into. Do you mind if I ask what kind of $$ did it run you?

That's fine, as long as I won't need to sell a hotel.

Hey Phat-The shocks installed were 5 something. The lowering is a handful of change.
