I have an 02 vert. I just bought a trunk lid carpet liner. Everyone I spoke to said that it is next to impossible to mount the carpet with what is supplied. Does anyone know of any tricks to get it to stay on the trunk lid.

Thanks,

Several more sizable pieces of industrial Velcro has kept mine in place for about a year and a half.
I had one that finally gave up after about a year. I tried everything from different adhesives to industrial strength velcro. Another problem we have here in AZ is heat inside a black vehicles trunk. I've just ordered a new one and I'm tempted to go with the four small drywall screws. They're black and wouldn't show too bad. for a solution.
Wound up using some balsa wood and used the 3M velco to stick that to the trunk and then used the gorilla glue to stick the carpet to the wood and seems to be OK
