Default Second broken prop shaft

Tonight I broke my second prop shaft with street tires.I do have a 408 but I am running street tires and both the first and now the second one is in 10 pieces. With the second one I was running the after market poly coupler bushings$530 to my door and that shaft lasted only a few speed shifts.(I am running a iron clutch)Any help? Thanks Dan

When the first one broke I was told by several shops that they have 9 and 10 sec cars making 800 and 900 hp and using slicks(I am running street tires) with no shaft problems !!!!!!! I wouldnt mind one a season but this sucks.I was going for a A&A F1 this winter on my 408 so I could enjoy 800RWHP but now I want to sell it. PLEASE HELP!!!

Are you actually breaking the shaft itself or the couplers?

I've never actually heard of anyone breaking the propshaft itself.

If you've broken 2 you've got to have something else wrong. Especially on street tires.

Either that or you just have really bad luck, and should pick up LG's carbon one.

If your breaking the shaft itself with only 500RWHP on Street tires then theres something else definately wrong. He!! your one of a VERY few group of people I have seen break the coupler once, let alone twice...(If thats what it is)

I'd say change your driving style...
