Default Is our coolant supposed to look reddish brown?

My car was running real hot yesterday......checked the radiator (lots of crap on it but nothing blocking it). Checked the coolant- looks to be full when car is off but reddish brown in color. Oil is dark- need to change it today or tomorrow. Thx

Dont you have a set schedule for when to change oil instead of just seeing that it is dark?

And yes the coolant in Corvette its called Dexcool and it more of an orange color. You will find this on pretty much all newer GM vehicles.

NO, it is supposed to be an orange. Buy some new coolant and compare it.

Reddish-brown sounds like what it looks like when you have air in the system. Air in the system causes it to thicken. Flush it AFTER finding your air leak.
