Default Brake dust

I just installed a set of Sportbrakes drilled/slotted rotors on my 99 FRC along with a set of GM ceramic pads. Everything is fine except for the amount of brake dust. I have driven almost 400 miles since installation and my wheels are completely black Will this clear up once the pads are completely bedded. I did the C5 brake upgrade on my 93 using Baer rotors and GM ceramics and the dusting was nothing like this. Has this happened to anyone else?

Something doesn't seem right? I did the exact same install, except added the zo6 red calipers. I bedded in one night and after that I have had very little dust, as you should w/ ceramic pads.

Just washed the car and noticed the firepath on the rotors didn't rust up like they normally would. Looks like I have more zinc to wear off. Whats funny is, I remember when I did the C5 brakes on my 93 with Baer rotors the zinc actually came off in gobs, this appears to be wearing off much more slowly.

If you got black dust, you do not have ceramics. I run them on mine and the dust is virtually invisible, but I do get a lot of black dust when I run Z06 pads at HPDE's.

Thats what I thought also, I double checked the part # on the box and the part # indicates that they are ceramic. I suppose they could have been packaged incorrectly.
