No, sensors from 1997-2000 are the same. Those from 2001-2004 are different.

Physically, the later model sensors are smaller and work on a different frequency.

Here are the 07-2000 sensors:
2001-04 sensors on a rim.
The two style sensors CAN NOT be interchanged!!

So is it correct to assume that if I install 2001 rims on a 1999 I still use the original larger sensors because of the frequency difference? Will the 1999 sensors physically fit the new rims?
