New 99 w/ auto climate control? huh?
So, I just bought my 1st Vette, a 99 six speed coupe.Doing A/C in my 99 Silverado simple. Doing A/C in my 99 Vette,
nightmare! We had to leave quickly before getting comfotable with
all the new options down, as my friend is a diabetic, he was late for
his insulin, so after we get on the freeway we try to turn on the A/C
before turning it off, all we could get was, HOT air coming out on the
drivers side, while cold air coming out on the passenger side.
What a bummer. I'm taking it in to Corvette & High performance in West Oly tomorrow morning for a check over to see what I'll need to do first with it., But I thought I'd post here for any help or info.
I know it's got to be simple, as the seller said he never had any problems. I read in the manual to push in the mode button first before manually adjusting the A/C.

Just push in the button by the passenger side **** that says "auto" then turn the passenger and driver ***** all the way to the left, you should get cold air. If not, then I would guess you've got a problem. BTW; One of the 1st things you should do is make sure you have a "column lock bypass" installed. If the wheel locks when you turn off the key it means you don't have the bypass. Congrats again!!!

Thanks for suggestion.
The dic codes were off from the seller having a new battery installed.
Corvette and High Performance found the problem and resolved it, when I had them inspect the Vette for any problems.Good Shape now, and love the A/C
