Default engine warning light

Can someone please help me figure how to reset the engine warning amber light on the instrument cluster?
just done a complete oil change!!!

First, you need to figure out why the light is on!! It telling you that there is a DTC code is set!

Here is a web site that will explain everything that you need to know.

This is the absolute best C5 Code web site!!!

Please write down all of the codes that you have and clear them. Make sure that you list if they are H or C. Post your results here.

Monitor the DIC to see if any of the codes come back and we can recommend corrective actions.

You also need to reset you OIL LIFE MONITOR. Turn the key to the ignition ON position without starting the engine Select the oil life display on the DIC.
Press the gas peddle down rapidly 4 times in succsession and the oil life monitor will reset to 100% Sounds like BS BUt it WORKS!

Just cleared all the codes..they were all "H'...and no"c"'s...

I had the whole instrument cluster replaced April 2004, when the car ran out of warranty....hopefully there will be no more codes popping up!!!
