Default Dipstick query with new headers

I'm certain this is the case, but I'll ask anyway.

I bought a set of FLP headers that were made for newer style LS1's (2001 and up, I believe) and there is not a provision for my dipstick to bolt to. Do I simply have to get a new dipstick tube or is there a bracket I need to buy as well? Do I need the new dipstick or just the tube? (can you even buy the dipstick separately?)

My car is a '99 and I believe the FLP's came off a 2001.

Don’t mean to hijack the thread but don’t you have to bend the egr tube some. Or am I thinking about something else?

I would think EGR is different as well. As for the dipstick, the tube is cheap (around $7) but not sure how much the dipstick itself is.

yeah the tube is cheap, but i heard is doesn't work w/ the pre 01 oil pan(could be urban legend, haven't tried it myself, ck if diff p# on dipstick also for newer year); no egr on the ls1/6 for the c5 only f-bodies, and you'll need the 2001 up air tube that runs behind the heads if running 01 and up headers; 97-2000 dipst. tube bolted to header tube and 2001 to 2004 bolted to head

2001 tube ordered today.

I actually made a small tube that adapted the existing AIR tube to my factory '99 tube. However, my FRC's hit the tube now . Looks like I'll have to install that 2001 tube afterall. It was a serious pain to get to the bolt that holds the tube to the back of the block (could be bolted to the head), but I'll have to make it work.
