No flames intended, but I was told by a very reputable tuner that the FAST intake does little to nothing for a stock-cubed engine. Best bet for stock-cubed motor is the 2001+ LS1/LS6 intake. You can pick up a used one for $300-350.00. i believe the FAST is quite a bit more.

If you're talking about an intake filter\system, see

Yeah which are you referring to just so we recommend the correct stuff? the actual intake manifold or are you talking about a simple air filter or cold air setup?

If you are talking about filter setup I would personally go with the blackwing (which I have) or the Halltec stinger and then possibly do the radiator fan shroud mod.

If you are talking about the actual intake manifold just get the LS6. Dont expect huge gains though as I was told on a otherwise stock engine the LS6 intake wont do much if any.

if this is his first mod he is clearly talking about the air filter. go with a donaldson blackwing or haltech stinger for normal driving. they are both excellent product with good power gains. if you race or would like to get the most power out of the system, go with the Vararam.

If you're talking about filter, I'd say vararam is the best performance.

If you're talking about intake manifolds, just upgrade to the LS6. Those aftermarket manifolds are not good for HP gains, but good if you're going to spray nitrous or something.
