Default Pics: Our new air pump system

Here are some preliminary pics of our new crankcase evacuation pump.
This will pull negative pressure in your crankcase and actually "pull" the rings toward the cylinder walls and increase ring seal. This will reduce oil consumption, blowby and incease horsepower. Less oil in the cylinders will help with detonation issues also.
Race cars see up to 30 HP gains with systems similar to this. We have only tested it on a couple of cars but averaged 12 RWHP.
We'll have two systems. The 1st picture is the performance model and will retail for $795. The Race model will be $995. This will include braided lines and AN fittings.

I like it a lot. But $800 for a possible 12rwhp, Andy? I fully understand the R&D costs, manufacturing, retail, stocking, shipping etc. but it seems a little steep (IMHO).

Is that price fixed in stone at this point?

Curious

your looking at this like its a performance product... in it's true nature it is not, it is more of a saftey and cost thing. It reduces oil consumption and detonation. The added performance is a bonus. This is like the alky system, more for protection but its cool to have added performance too. I think it is a great product and by the look of the craftmanship(superb) it is at a fair price. Don't buy it for performance, becasue chances are that you will be upset with it then if they do not reach your rwhp goal. Good product andy

BTW would they fit other LS1 based cars also? (GTO, F-body, SSR)

Wow, that's a very slick product! I've actually been hoping someone would do this. This allows Accusump users to come that much closer to matching the benefits of drysump systems. For those that don't know, here are some of the benefits of dry sump systems:
1. Prevents oil starvation
2. Oil cools a little while in the sump, and it's really easy to integrate a cooler
3. Allows the engine to sit lower
4. Increases vacuum in the crankcase, with the benefits Andy mentioned (power, oil consumption, etc.)

Andy's vacuum pump is the perfect mate with an Accusump. I'm not totally sure, but I believe the extra vacuum also allows big cammed engines to idle better.

Andy, if this product gets the rave reviews that all your other products and services get, and I'm sure it will, I'll be adding this to my A&A frame savers and rocker rails.

Cool product Andy! What other modifications are required to attach the AN lines? Where will they attach?

Andy; nice setup. Might be just the ticket for the oil issues some of the super strokers have. Mine have pretty well gone away with the new engine but this looks like a good addition. I've got a catch can mounted at the left front (where your pump goes): I assume I'd have to relocate that? Any thoughts and/or suggestions: if practical, I'd like to go with one of these.

Regards.

Pulling a vacuum in the crankcase does seem like a good idea to me, but it leaves me with a question. In normal operation, the crankcase doesen't see much pressure in it, either positive or negative. The PCV system applies a slight vacuum to suck put any blow-by that got past the rings, leaving the pressure inside close to atomspheric (I'm guessing). The engine's gaskets are designed to keep the engine's juices inside, not hold pressure. Will they hold up, or do different gaskets have to be used? And how much HP does this pump use up, anyway?

Who makes the pump? Are you manufacturing them yourself? What type of warranty do you get with the pump?
