Go see a professional tuner. They usually don't charge much for this and requires a quick flash of your computer. Don't forget the 160 thermostat while you are at it. If it still is too hot, you will need to put in a larger aftermarket radiator, nice upgrade.

A number of aftermarket handheld programmers can lower fan turn on/off temps, also, and will get you somewhat cooler. Some of these are available really cheap, used, and would most probably be cheaper than having a tuner do it for you (at least in my experience). However, as suggested, if you want to really go after it, a lower thermostat, with lower fan settings, will be most effective. There are a number of forum threads on this. Do a search and you'll find a lot of info.

The best way to do it is to reprogram the fan settings in the PCM (tuner, LS1 Edit or similar program, hand-held reprogrammer like Predator, etc.). There are also kits that attach to the fan wiring and allow you to electrically control the fan on-off points.

Take your pick:

LS1 Edit

Predator or Hypertech PPIII

Vinci Fan Controller (DIY)

Choose your thermostat: 160*, 170*, 180*

I have the Vinci controller and am very pleased with it. Both fans come on at 208 and off at 201. I am running the stock thermostat and adjusted the controller accordingly.
