Hi,
New to the forum, just purchsaed 2004 convertible within the last 2 weeks, was looking to upgrade exhaust system.
Looking for opinions on the difference between Corsa Indy, Touring, and Tigershark package. Im looking for a nice "throaty" sound but not too loud, also, is it suggested to change X pipes during this instalation?
West Coast Corvette informed me if I use the Corsa X pipe that there will be a "pinging" when decellerating (obviously recommending their own brand).
Thanks for any responses..........
Dave
The Corsa Indy Pace has a more aggressive sound than the Corsa Touring does but both are quiet on the road. The tiger shark is just a different tip option. you can check their website out at www.corsaperf.com and you can actually listent to the sounds. I think the Indy is the best package. Sounds great but not loud when doing highway driving.
I have Corsa Indy Tigershark combo - love the sound - love the looks - the four pipes together is different than most.
Not sure what he means by "pinging." On decelerating there is some sound like backfiring but not loud nor is it a bother -does not always happen and not sure it is a function of pipes.
I had the Corsa xpipe and when I went with headers I had to use the high flow cats/xpipe assembly that came with them. No change in sound or resonance in cabin -when I am cruising there is no sound at all.
I have Corsa Indys. IMHO, the sound is far from throaty. At WOT, the sound is more like an exotic foreign car as apposed to an American muscle car. Don't get me wrong, I love the Corsa's but they are not throaty.
Thanks for the info guys, I think I'm leaning towards the Corsa Indy series with the corsa X-pipes. Its amazing how addicting these things are, you would think that just having one would be enough, but to spend time and effort to "make it better" is addicting.
