Default Halltech Stinger users come in Please!

Fedex dropped mine off this morning. Oh joy! I am glad I am an engineer! Basically the main unit fits like a dream, sadly the hole for the air hose is about a 1/4" too small. There are no holes for the IAT or that 1/16" line that comes from mid point drivers side of the intake manifold into the stock bellows, which for time being we will call the thingamajig.See pic If someone knows what its called feel free to tell me.My dilema is that I have two choices for locating the IAT one is to drill a hole in my brand new red airbridge, [gasp]the other is extend the wires and velcro it to the filter. I already have 6 2" holes drilled in foglight housings so I have a pretty good source for cold airAlso considering cutting the radiator shroud for additional cold air...I usually make the wrong decision so I am open to suggestions...

I have a 98' with a Halltech T1
The thingamjig goes in the silicone coupler just use a punch and put a hole in it and it will go right in no problem. (Jim Hall did the install himself to my car at mod day)

Did it come with the Halltech airbridge? Mine did and there was a fitting there.

The air hose? do you mean the one that is in the space in front of the RAD? that should connect to the air filter.

The hole in the filter is the correct size for the IAT grommet so extended the wires and mounted it there.Should see a cooler accurate temp there farther away from engine heat. The thinga magig is not a problem will punch or drill a small hole and install it, sounds so much better than stick it in!Now that leaves the ugly air hose which doesn't seem to do anything. Choice A is wedge it under the filter and pretend its doing something or choice B remove it entirely for a nice clean looking install.Or, come on people show me how smart you are!

"It took alittle elbow grease. You will need to carefully push and pry the IAT out of the rubber grommet it is in. Push it from the inside of the airbridge and then pry it from the outside using a flat screwdriver. You have to be careful not to pull it out to fast because the sensor can break. Once the IAT was out, you can then easily remove the rubber grommet and then reinstall it on the Stinger airbridge. Then you slide the IAT into the grommet."
