I'd say it's the AC control unit. My sister's Olds. done the exact same thing.

Had the same symptom it can be many things. In my case it turned out that the a/c fuse kept blowing, the evntual fix was to change the fuse box. The other time the light kept going off it was the a/c compressor! (fixed for free on extd warranty (Whew--$2000 in parts!)

If the light's flashing then it's telling you there is a problem. Time for service.

Mine was a bad ground and a bad pressure switch. Like the man said it could be anything.

Before you get too wrapped around the axel, there are some LOGICAL TROUBLESHOOTING steps that you should take:

FIRST!!!! Read and post the DTC codes stored in the DIC. Here is what you need to do.

This is the absolute best C5 Code web site!!!

http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Codes_Page.htm

Once you read the codes, write them down and them post them here.

Clear all of them and see which ones reappear. You should see HVAC codes if there are AC or heating issues. The codes will point us in the right direction to help you.

Your HVAC system is way too complex to speculate on what is wrong. It could be as simple as a loose wire or as complex as a bad compressor! The DTC code that will help narrow it down.
