Default Need Advice!

I bought a 99 Vert for my first and had some brake problems where the front calipers or master cylinder were sticking and would bring my vette to a screaching halt after warmup. Master cylinder and all fluid was changed out and front rotors were resurfaced and pads changed. I now have the "judders". I want to change all rotors and pads. Why do I want to stay with original type equipment or why do I want to go to slotted and/or drilled rotors. Are slotted and drilled all about the looks? Most of driving is around town with some highway driving from time to time.

Drilled & Slotted rotors are appearance only mod and are prone to cracking under heavy stress. If you want better brakeing get better pads like stock Z06 pads or you can get a big brake kit (larger callipers and rotors). Steel braided brake lines will firm up the brake pedal.

Sportbrake.com for drilled/slotted rotors... approx. $250. shipped
NAPA for OEM style replacement rotors... CHEAP!
GM Z06 pads for performance stopping power ( some dust )
GM Ceramic pads ( no dust but don't quite have the same stopping power as OEM )

Better off with new parts! ( IMO )
