Need help with the oil life reset...

Ok I feel like a big idiot, but for the life of me I can not figure out how to reset the oil life guauge. I get to the guage hitting the trip button, then I hold the reset button, and it blanks out, but doesn't reset to 100%... and if I just leave it or click off to another guage it sets itself back to the previous number before the oil changed occured.

Someone give me a clue?

Put your key in and turn it to "ON". Dont start the car. Press your Gas Pedal three times. It should reset

Or I think you can go to the oil life setting on your DIC and hold the reset button down 'til it resets.

Edit: just read that wasn't working for you......

You are just fine. The DIC will show 3 blanks as you stated when it is 100%. It will never say 100%, just three blanks. Drive it for about 5 miles and it will say 99%...
