Disappointing numbers
For what its worth I was @ mikes shop during a few pulls w/ your car and it was f..n..g hot. It was 97 outside w/ humidity in the 85+ % range. As for the dyno, my car like yours dynos kind of low for a peak number. But Mike and I graphed one of your dyno pulls against mine (I peak @ 388hp / 378 tq). Up to the peak out TQ numbers were close, after the peak you had over 25 more lbft across the board. I know the peak is important but the upper bower band on your car looked great. For what a 1/4 mile time is worth I run 11.7 @ 122 with real soft 1.8X 60 times so the power is there regardless of what the dyno shows for a peak.
I really wish there was a standard for averaging hp/tq from 4500 - 7000 so everyone would get past that big meaningless peak number(I know this is not you but there are plenty of those people out there) Your car asis would have an awesome usable average on a chart like that. Big flat power bands win races.
BTW I like the overall setup of you car. Looks great and d a m n it is loud.

I also feel the TQ is low....even on Mike's dyno....LOL
I would like to know the cranking compression of one of your cylinders. A leakdown on all eight wouldn't be bad to know either if you were really trying to cover all your bases (eliminating the question of whether your shortblock is properly sealing up all the air and fuel it's compressing).
The cylinder pressure (from the cranking compression check) will help verify if perhaps the cam might be installed in a "not so ideal" position, or perhaps even ground wrong.
A dyno gragh would also help alot. What type of valve gear are you running? Did you check and verify correct rocker geometry, pushrod length, etc.? Go over all the basics....Your numbers are OK, but definately on the low side of combinations that have been similar.
Regarding the FAST versus LS6 debate, EVERY dyno test I have personally been involved in (numerous) has shown good gains with out of the box FAST intakes, and better gains with some of the units I romanced....Check out these results from Patrick G.

I look foward to further info regarding this combination. Feel free to call or email me at AFR.

Mike Norris doesn't think he can get much more out of her.

Tony, I will discuss your suggestions with Mike. Thanks to all for your input.

I wonder who's car that would be?
