Right Speaker & Door Lock Dead

Right Speaker & Door Lock Dead
The right front speaker on my vette just went out. Also the door lock mechanism on the right side doesn't work with the fob or button in the car. I have to manually unlock it. I've checked the fuses. Any suggestions on what I should troubleshoot next? Thanks.

I recommend examining all of the connectors and wiring for the door. They get a lot of abuse from vibration. There are two main door connectors that run throught the accordian tube that connects the door to the body. Remove the speaker and you will be able to find the wiring and connectors. There have been cases where the connectors were found loose and damaged.

I checked the connectors. They look ok. I cleaned the connectors and re-attached. It didn't seem to make a difference. The lock function usually works but, the unlock function works maybe 1 out of 6 trys. Sound like the door control module?
