Keep getting engine light and code P0480 which calls out cooling fan 1 relay. Replaced the fan motor and all of the relays and still getting check engine light and code. Car runs around 190 degrees while cruising and sometimes reaches 230 when in traffic or at a stop light for a period of time. I know the right side fan is coming on but left hand side fan still isn't! Need some help, don't know what else it could be.
Well cleaned all the grounds, was some early stages of corrosion developing but the left fan is still not coming on. They are both supposed to come on with the A/C running correct?

Yeah Chris, I've checked everything in the fuse compartment and replaced all relays and still no joy!! Guess I need to take it out again and check the motor and the wiring down there again, maybe a bad motor who knows.
Give Tom McGrath a call at Cooper Corvettes in Dumfries (just north of Quantico). He's a nice guy and would probably be happy to give you some suggestions where to look. He's busy, but he doesn't seem to mnd giving a few minutes to a potential customer. And if all else fails, thats where I would take it to have him look at it.

Definitely take a voltmeter to the fan harness at the fan and see if you are getting power and ground. From there I'd work my way to the fuse/relay block and see if the harness is damaged. Power and ground at the relay? Can you feel the relay click on and off? If it's not triggering than you either have a bad connection at the relay or damaged wiring to the PCM. It is possible the PCM is bad, but I think the odds of that would be low. Let us know what you find.
Thanks everyone for the inputs, I feel like a dumb****! After I took one last look at it before bringing it back to the dealer I did find the 30 amp Maxi fuse burned out, replaced and all is well now! Don't know how I missed it the first time, must have been misreading the fuse box label. Thanks again!
