I am new to the forum. Have been using the posts to help me with my C5 vert. I have used the input to come up with a modestly priced system that I feel gives more horsepower than most. A set of long tube headers from Jet-Hot coatings(($622shipped),they fit great and do not require o2wire extentions,a 3"StainlessWorks hi-flow cat and Xpipe system from Nate @ Corvette garage $568 shipped. My installer furnished 2 Dynamax straight thru 3" mufflers and the rest of the 3" pipe for the system. Every thing fits up in the tunnel. I put some hi-tech heat insulation in the tunnel before the install. The installer used 2 3" late model chevy pickup tailpipes to fabricate the exhaust from the mufflers on back. The system looks good, sounds terrific and the total cost was $2190 materials and labor. He put the o2 aftercat bungs right behind the hi-flow cats and I got no codes for 200 miles. My tuner did edit them out tho-he said they would probably start throwing codes at a later date. The car is a 04 with a Halltech stinger, also from Nate @ Corvette Garage($239) easy install, also have Ecklers 170 thermostat. If any one in S.F. Ca. area wants name of installer let me know. Actually I live in Arizona and drove the car to the shop for the system.
yes,:I drove 1600 mi. to have Jay do the work. BTW there is a tuner on Winton in Hayward-his name is Nick and his business Newtech. He has a chassis dyno and his ride has over 700RWH. He had 2 Pontiacs, 1 Camero, A Mustang, and a C5 in the shop while I was there.
