How do they sound with long tubes and no cats? I have done a search and have come up with nothing. Are they overly obnocious and do they have interior drone? I have the stock TI system on my cam and bolt on Z and it is too quiet.

I have that setup and there's no drone with a PT4400 and 4.10's. There was some with a SS4000 and 3.73's, don't remember at what speed/rpm? I do get a lot of compliments on the sound though.

damn a pt4400 and 4:10s! what kind of 60' do you cut? well since i put the 3:90s in the diff it very rarely sees any where below 1800 rpms and my car only gets driven on the week end. i think i am going to bite the bullet and order them. can anyone post a clip or e-mail me one?

Try here....

I agree with Johnny, I had them and loved them till I put in long tubes and high flow cats. I love loud but
for driving and talking at the same time....just too much resonance for me. It does sound great, though.
BTW, I replaced mine with Z06 Titanium, and now I think it's a little too quiet (except at WOT, it's ).
There must be a happy medium out there...just haven't found it yet. Maybe electric cutouts.

Bottom line...if you like car sounds better than people sounds, go for it.

I have an M6 with 3:42's "shorty" headers no cats X pipe and PRT's
They are VERY loud when accelerating kinda like a harley with straight pipes, the idle is also much louder now. I was very surprised that the drone is minimal and only at low rpms. I am thinking that this set up is too loud now so I may have some high flow cats installed but haven't made up my mind yet.

With LT's and no cats it will probably be overly obnoxious but I would still go for it.
