Default Window Help

My passanger side window quit working. When you push on the switch you can here it click one time inside the door. It will do it with the switch on the drivers door or passangers door. Is this the motor or is it some kind of relay inside?

it is the motor more than likely. mine has done the same thing. when i checked mine it was getting very very hot. it would click from both controls. some people say to hit the door very hard near the door pull while holding the switch and this will fix some of them, but in my case it was a bad motor. south florida window lift sells after market motors and regs for about $150. i used two of them in my car, one on each side and they work smoother and quieter than stock.

It sounds like the window regulator assembly. there are cables that move the window up and down. They look exactly like bickle brake cables. What happens is the plastic ends that are supposed to keep the outer shielding of the cable out of the motor and pully assembly, break and the plastic and some times the sheilding itself gets pulled into the pullys. You have to replace it as a assembly. Around $180 from gmpartsdirect.com for a new oem one. The first sign of them going bad is when you start to roll your window down if it drops a few inches first then its smooth. Thats it pulling the slack out of the cables. Sounds to me like in your case the cables are bound up in the motor pully.
