Default Emergency- Need Brake Help!!!!

O.K. Guys, I am f*king up my car right now. I am changing rotors and pads on the rear.

Right side problem - I have an auto. My emergency brake is not engaged. I pulled to right rotor off and it looks like the emergency brake assembly loosened with it. A metal clip that looks like a piece of bent coat hanger popped out and my e-brake assembly was sort of floppy. I think I got that clip back in place (half - assed)...but not sure. Has anyone else had this problem?

Left side problem I have the caliper off...but the f**king rotor will not come off. It doesn't feel like it is rusted in place, rather, it feels like the e-brake drum is catching and pulling it back. I don't want to have the same problem as I had on the right side. So, I am being careful. For all I know, it might be rusted in place, but it seems like the rotor is getting hung up at the bottom.

I have been screwing around with this car for 5 hours...will someone please help me. Honestly, right now I just want to roll it into the street and set fire to it. Having insurance buy me a new one would be easier than putting this thing together.

Please let me know your thoughts.

If someone thinks they can help...I'll PM you my cell phone number so you don't have to type a whole lot. Thanks.

See my post in C5 general. I beat the hell out of it with a mallet and my e-brake assembly came put with the rotor...just like on the right side. I have no idea why that happened.

Here is a link. I tore it to pieces, but I don't care...no damned rotor is going to stay put when I tell it to move.
