Default Exhaust Suggestions

Just got a 98 Vette...What exhaust would give me the best deep sound?? Soundbytes or video of your cars would be appreciated. Full system or cat-back? not lots of dough keep in mind Thanks.

obvisously the full system is your best option. save to you can afford to do it then its done and your completly happy. What happened to me is I did the Borla cat backs, then a vette with headers drove by me one day and I had to go back for more. So just git r done the first time. The Dynomaxx is a great system. I dont recommend this but I am not running cats so it sounds like a Nascar. For the mild person, it would be tooooooo much but for me I love it !

Good Luck

You can get a good sound from a cat-back without headers. Try getting one used on the forum to save a few bucks. 2-tip Singers or "Bullets" are probably our best for the buck.

If you don't have a ton of money then go with a cat-back system only. You will be very happy with what you hear over stock.

Also if you are not planning a H/C package or a S/C then I would not do headers anyway because you will not gain that much seat of your pants acceleration. I would rather spend my money on gears.

Basically try to think of your long term plans for your car and then it will make it easier to see what mods you should get.

BTW - here is my sound clips with GHLs, Kooks Headers, G5X3 Cam, and AFR heads...
