taillight dash light problem
please help i have a 2000 manual ht when i open the door the dash lights come on then i start the car and turn the lights on and the lights come on but the dash lights go off and i have no taillights but the turn signal hazzards and brake lights work i have checked all fuses and moved relays around but to no luck anyone please help its saturday night for gods sake ohh yeah my fog lights dont come on either

Hi, I didn't have your problem but my driverside brake light stopped working. The hazard light worked, turn signal worked and the taillight work but no brake light, the passengerside lights worked fine. After checking all bulbs I took it in for service (oops 99 vert). While waiting in the customer waiting room a couple of minutes the service manager came in and said I had no brake lights at all. The tech found a short in the turn signal switch, he replaced the switch ($468 total, switch and labor) and everything working fine.

Yep, we've got the exact same problem here on our 99. No interior lights or rear running lights. Headlights, brakes & directionals all fine.
Faulty Headlamp Switch.....& its gonna cost us about $423 to fix (includes an estimated 3.5 hrs of labor)

New to forum but not new to vettes, this is my first c5 and I love it.My dash lights just started the same thing no dash no tail and no fog lights.It's going to the dealer on Tue.Hope it's something simple but it sounds like the headlight switch.Is there anything else it could be?

the right two brake lights dont work on my 99. they work for parking lights though...
i need to replace my turn signal stalk also...
I have already replaced the hazard switch and replaced the bulbs...
