Default Changing the front blinker light....

Does anyone know how to change the R-Front blinker/daytime running light (access is blocked by the headlight)?

There are 2 ways to do it.

1. Easy if small hands and double jointed. From front move air intake for brake out of the way and reach up thru there. It is a PINA.

2. Jack up car take right wheel off. There are about 5 or 6 10 mm screws on panel at bottom of front wheel well. Take it off and it's a piece of cake. Just had mine out yesterday to remove a broken bulb.

I vote for 2. But I just ran the front wheels up on ramps and did not take off the wheel. Its the panel on the bottom that over laps the wheel well. Its very easy.

I was able to access the bulb by putting a surgeons glove on, they have powder, or something, on them to make them slippery, and going in through the brake cooling duct opening. Gently move the brake duct tubing back and the bulb holder sits right there. Give the holder a twist and it'll come right out. Pull it out where you can see it, change the bulb, and reverse the procedure. My hand was a little sore, but I figured as long as I was at it, and it went so quickly, I did the other side, also. Shouldn't have to worry about that for awhile.

Option 3,

Raise headlight, remove the plastic shroud around it (3 phillips screws), and also unscrew the hood bumpstop. This allows plenty of room to reach down and get to it.

Find the socket (it's kind of pointed upwards) Press the lock tab, turn to release the socket, pop the old bulb out, slide new bulb in, verify it works, and reinsert the socket into the light housing, turn until it clicks in place (the trickiest part of all). Reinstall headlight shroud and hood stop, and you're done.

Had to change my left one today, took 10 minutes.

Bulb is an amber #4157NALL if you don't already have a replacement in hand.

Did mine yesterday the same way. It took me a lot longer because I could not get the socket in the housing. I still don't know how I got it back in. I just kept trying until it finaly clicked in. Do you have any tips I can use when my other side goes?

I let my 14 year old son do it. About 1 minute start to finish.
