Default Mystery Code P0442

My 2000 Vert is throwing a P0442 code under the Powertrain Control Module (10-PCM). I've looked at the sites that list all the codes, but this one isn't listed. Anyone know what it is?

Is this the code that commonly causes the Check Engine Light to come on when the gas cap isn't tightened enough? (my Check Engine Light has also come on). The previous owner said this happened periodically and that when he took it in, the mechanic always said it was nothing more than a loose gas cap.

Yes, it could be that code, or codes p0455, or p0457. Clear the code and see if it comes back. If it does, then I would advise taking it to the dealer. They have special equipment to find the small leaks.
We use a smoke machine in our dealer...works pretty good.
