Just picked up my "new" 98 today..
The stock shocks put in regular Chevy's seem to get worn pretty quick..Anybody have a comment?? Are Vettes any different, and if so..whats it cost to get decent replacements?
I've got 27,000 on this now..
Bought the shocks and bars from Corvette Garage. Great guys and fast service. Shocks were about $320 and bars were the cheapest I found at $519. Well worth it!

Funny you should ask...I just had mine replaced this week. I picked up a used set of Z06 shocks here on the forum. You can get them for $100-$150 from Z06 owners who are changing to a different setup. But of course, you can go the Bilstein route also like the others have stated. I wore out my F45 shocks at 41000 miles, mainly due to poor roads here in Michigan.
I replaced my stock shocks @ 58,000 miles with used 2003 Z06 shocks I got for $100. Best suspension move I've made yet, Z06 sway bars (used) was a very close second best move. You can do a Z06 shocks search and learn much more when being compared to a bilstein shock purchase.
