You have found the right person for this issue!! I installed heated seats in my 98 and 02 Z06. Here is what you need to do:

Disconnect and remove the battery

Below the battery, you will see a LARGE wiring harness that enters the fire wall to the passengers foot well. Where the harness enters the fire wall, there will be a rubber boot around the wire.

I got a metal coat hanger and cut the hook off of it. Use a pair of needle nose plires to make a smooth closed hook on one end of the hanger. MAKE SURE it is smooth and closed!! (dont want it to snag anything) I used a scrap piece of 12 gauge solid strand wire and tapped it to the other end of the hanger. Then slip the smooth looped end of the hanger under the boot (WD-40 will help the hanger and wire slip through) and lightly push the hanger into the passengers foot well. You can have someone help you but I did the entire job by myself. Find the hanger in the passengers foot well and pull it through. I used the 12 ga wire to attach all of my wires to and pulled the wires through with that.:

Pics:::

The wire harness that branches off to the right is the one that I added!
Almost looks stock!

In the passengers foot well, there is a set od "THREE" wires that were added so that you could add stuff:
The ORANGE wire is HOT all the time

The YELLOW wire is Hot in ACC and ignition ON

Black is GROUND!

Here is a picture of the wires: You will find that they are taped up with green or black DUCT TAPE! Look above and to the left of the BCM:
