Slide or "rock"? If it rocks it's a common problem. Do a Search. Lots of threads. The Search engine is your friend

Rock and slide is a common description of C5 seats...most of us learn to live with it. There is a rocking seat repair posted in Tech Tips ...good luck!

[QUOTE=boyblue97]My 97 vette seats have a little slide when you apply the breaks and im not sure why.

My 97 had the same problem.
I followed the instructions at Http://js-x.com/robbs/ken/vette1/ (pics included) to repair my seats.
I used leather instead of a metal washer as he did for the spacers, I also needed to loosen the seat cover for access to a bolt at the front to take out on each side he didn't mention.
It was easy, as corvette mods go.

Thanks to Ken Robbs.

Good luck.
