We have installed many pin kits before. Yes use oil! We use a 1/2 air drill about 1/2 speed. Push hard and don't use too much speed, it will just reck the bit.
I have used it. Use cutting oil and about medium speed. Too fast and it will burn the bit and will become useless. A new sharp bit will cut it just fine.
Put some masking tape on the drill bit to use as a marker on how deep to drill.
Thanks. I called ATI and they told me to drill it dry, which is what I did. Came out good but I would have normally used cutting oil.
I had a boroscope so depth wasn't an issue, I made sure I was well into the bolt before stopping. Oiled up the bit and the ream for the next time I use it (someone else's car)
The ATI kit comes complete, see my other thread on using the fixture for front cover seal alignment. You get the pins, the fixture, a titanium drill bit, a reamer a two guides to ensure that the hole goes in correctly.
