What does a "Catch Can" do for you and advantage is ??
The catch can is plumbed in the PCV system before the PCV valve going towards the intake. It separates oil particles out of the crankcase vent air before it hits the intake plenum. Without this device on my car I had puddles of oil in the intake. Under hard acceleration oil would make its way down into the rear cylinders, or any other cylinder under hard cornering. I noticed the carbon buildup on top of the valves with intake off, and know that this also causes carbon buildup in the cylinders. I removed my intake, cleaned it out, installed an AMW catch can as shown in my corvette photos. Last time I checked the intake it was dry. Every other month or so I empty the catch can and get an ounce or so of oil out of it. I tried other set ups and found this to be the best so far. This prevents you from having to do the decarbonization procedure at the $dealer. It also cleans up your emmissions, no burning oil, oily soot buildup in exhaust, etc.
