Noise while backing up only
My 99 FRC with 6 speed makes a poping/grinding noise when I back it out of the garage. The noise seems to be coming from the righ rear tire area. It only happens when backing up. Even if I am not in gear and backing up it will make the noise. It does not do it all the time. I notice it most when the car has sit for a week or two. I thought it might be the parking break sticking from being set so long, but today the noise lasted longer and I am concerned. Anyone solved this one before?

If I am right that this is a praking brake issue, do you know if it is safe to drive it this way or do I need to fix it ASAP?
