Default Slave cylinder

I was told I should really swap my slave when I go to the LS7 clutch and flywheel I just ordered? Is it necessary or a really good idea to do so or can I just not change it and be just fine?

The stock C5 slave isn't really made for the higher pressure Z06 clutch, not that it wouldn't work with it because it will (from what i've heard), but heck for $100 i'd swap it just to be on the safe side.

I ordered my LS7 clutch and PP yesterday from Fred Beans and ordered the slave while I was at it. The clutch is shipping direct from GM but I received the slave cylinder today. Not at all what I expected it to look like since I haven't seen one before..

It's a royal PITA to replace after the fact. Replace it while you have it apart for the clutch. The labor for a cylinder replacement is about the same as for the clutch if you have to do it later.
