Default Paint Code

How do I find my paint code. I have an '01 navy blue metallic convertible with a light oak interior. The shop manual says look on the bottom row of the sticker in the glove box. I can find the cose for the interior - 673 - but there is nothing that matches what the Corvette Black Book says - 28. If I look at the specific location referenced in the shop manual, there is a code that says BC/CC. Is that it?

Yep, that's it. BC/CC means base coat/clear coat. Look to the
right of that and you should see U and 4 digits. Those 4 digits
will be the GM paint code.

Note that this number does *not* match the paint option listed
in the Black Book. For example, my Black '99 has paint code
"U 8555" which differs from the paint option code (41) listed in
the Black Book.

28U Is the color RPO for NBM, but it's not the paint code. The paint codes always start with WA.

The actual paint code for 2001 NBM is WA-352E
