Default Maintainance questions

Hey guys I got some more 'new guy' questions...

1. I want to change all the fluids out but I have no idea where to jack the car up from the front/rear...

2. Anyone know where the oil pressure sensor is located on the block?

3. I think I may have an a/c vacuum line leak, because my control **** is stuck on the face/foot setting and will not change. The **** feels like its operative but nothing happens. Where are the lines I need to check for this located?

Thanks again

1) you can jack the rear up on the rear subframe easily enough, and for the front look just beneath I believe where the front of the door is and you'll see a hole in the frame. That's where I put my lift arms so for jack stands you'd just jack the car up just behind that point in order to set the car down where that hole is. Look for that same hole in the frame at the rear for the rear jack stands.

2) As for the oil pressure sensor, there are many many posts on that on the forum so do a search and maybe you'll come across a nice tutorial. The sensor is located at the back of the block (more accurately I think on the leftish side?). To replace the sensor you'll have to remove the intake manifold which isn't a big deal at all - you don't even have to replace the intake gasket.

3) I'm not sure on that.... I have the Corvette shop manuals and could look it up for you, but they're at work... PM me if you come up with no responses on that. Do you have manual climate control? (may be a silly question...). Personally I'd just go peeking around underneath the dash to find a vacuum line connector plug.

Good luck!

Cool thanks. Does anyone know the link to the instructions on the transmission (manual) fluid change and the diff fluid change?
