Default Anyone unhappy with Vararam performance (horsepower-wise)?

The question in the title says it all. And when I talk about performance, I am talking about horsepower. I currently have a Halltech Stinger and am thinking of switching to the Vararam. It seems that the only knocks on the Vararam are related to hydrolock issues, poor fit and filter. Is there anybody that put on the Vararam out there that did not notice an increase in performance, or just such a slight increase that it was barely noticeable? Most people I see just rave about how the car pulls....anyone disappointed that they didn't see more power? Just trying to get some opinions before I go throw away more money on mods. Thanks!

Josh

Never once heard of a Vararam hydrolock, and I searched extensively before buying. Fit and finish is fine, not as bad as others say. Like most others, I picked up quite a bit of speed for an intake.

Hey, I'm getting mine dynoed this weekend at 21st MC, Vararam only, no other mods. I'll be posting a before and after thread about it.

The weather won't be near as cool as it was the first time I dynoed bone stock but it should be in the 70's here in Dallas.

I'll let you all know what gaines I see, I'm expecting about 10RWHP.
My stock 02 coupe did 308.6RWHP and 321.1RWT.

I did see .2 tenth increase in the 1/8 mile too.

Sorry, I can't give real numbers, but the SOTP is fairly substantial. MPG is supposed to go up, but I can't keep my foot out of it, its too darn fun. Unfortunatley, I got Corsa Catback sysem on the same weekend, its like having a new car. The sound and pull is awesome

I'm hoping for around 320RWHP, that would be around 10-12 from the VR.

My MPG went up about 2 mpg for about the first week or two, while I allowed it to settle in, then down about 3mpg but that wasn't the VR's fault.
