What is procedure for trouble shooting a headlight suddenly not raising, the light comes on but the drivers side headlight does not move??
Just got headlight to raise byy manually raising it halfway and now it works but motor while quiet seems to shimmy a bit and seems to not be as rigid if you grad it compared to the other side????
Thanks

Reason: change
You probably stripped out the teeth on the plastic gear. There is a brass gear that you can buy to replace the OEM plastic one that won't strip. I think this is the most common problem. If it was both lights, then it would be your switch probably. That happened on mine.

It is dead quite and just stopped I will go out and check is there any chance each headlight has a seperate fuse and it could be that simple?

Don't know if this will work but I had the same problem occur twice this year and it hasn't happened for many months since.
I simply unplugged the large wiring harness just behind the headlight that's flat on the bdy panel. Unplug and replug it several times and see if that does anything. In my case, it appears to have cleared the problem of the contacts not properly mating or slightly corroded.
Let me know if this turns out to be the problem. Maybe some electrical lube will help.
If it was the stripped gear, I would expect that you'd hear the motor running but the door not moving.
