Oil Pressure sensor bad
Looking at previous threads the job does not look all that difficult, just a lot of bend time on the ol back.
Question, is there any thing else I should look for or check with the intake manifold off. Don't want to do this again. I was probably going to change the little check valve on the AIR system, I have had codes indicating this on passenger side. (Just cleared and they never came back after 10Kmiles)
98 coupe, MN6 85K miles use as a Daily drive.
Thanks
Done. Did the oil pressures sender change today, 10/7/05. Took about 3 hours. I took the intake manifold off completely, did a lot of extra cleaning of the manifold, vacuum the valley etc. and I had to run up to lowes to buy a deep socket. They did not have metric, so I got 1 1/16. It was not the correct size but it worked. There has to be a trick to hooking up the little hose on the rear of the intake manifold. I had to get someone with small hands (my wife) to do this part.
Took for a test drive, oil pressure back to normal. 35psi at idle and 45 or so at driving speed.

Thanks, George

to fix get a new new sensor for about $35 and the install labor (have to remove the intake) and you need a deep socket to pull sensor (24mm i think)
More Than Zero
