I was able to get about 9 qts out. I also used a turkey baster and sucked out the leftover in the back of the surge tank.

Not much. But pull the two hoses on the passenger side of the water pump and have a big bucket ready. Makes a reall mess though.

12.6 quarts capacity for the whole coolant system. I ususally get between 5 and 6 quarts out of the radiator. Another couple quarts by siphoning the overflow tank.

3 gallon bucket full, the early c5's have a twist and pull drain, open the coolant tank to drain fully

ahhhhh, now i realize, the reason all the coolant drained in my car was because the t-stat was broken allowing all the coolant to drain out of the block, if the t-stat is closed it won't drain, you can remove the 2 bolts that hold the tstat to the w/p and drain the rest, it will make a mess, i'll have to post pics of tstat later when i get my camara back

I drained what I could out of my radiator and then started the car and let it idle until it was over 230 degrees. I think the T-stat opened because more coolant came slowly leaking out at that point.
