Try this: pie D (= circumference) divided by 360, where pie is 3.14, times D, diameter across a circle (tire), equals the circumference around the circle. If the circle is 36 inches across, times pie equals 113.04 inches around the outside. A circle has 360 degrees around it so 113.04 divided into 360 segments equals .314 inches per segment or per degree. Do the same thing for the diameter of your tire since the inches of toe is measured on the tread surface of the tire.
