Has anybody had a 99 C5 suddenly jerk to the right or left and the active handling starts blinking. This has occured a couple of times both at full throtle and just cruising along. The last time just sent me across two lanes of traffic??? How to fix if there is a fix, plus how would dealer fix with all of the tuning already done?
You have a bad sensor and need to get it changed out now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Turn your AH OFF until you get it fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have 2003 AE convert with F55, 6-speed, 3K miles, box stock.
Have had a couple of incidents with "Service Active Handling" message on DIC and "Check Gages" on HUD.
First time was at slow speed just down the street from my house. While coming to a stop, felt pulsing and heard "grinding" noise. Above messages flashed. Next start up cycle, no codes. Took car to dealer. They found no codes.
Second time was at speed on the freeway, 70 mph. Left brake(s) locked up, causing car to dart left. I caught the car from hitting car next to me, and went back home! Again, messages flashed but disappeared after next start up cycle.
Have been checking through old posts on forum and can't tell if there is a consensus as to cause. I see steering wheel sensor, wheel sensor, anti-lock brake sensor, all listed as possible causes.
Does anyone know for sure what's going on? Any TSBs?
