Ok i tried a search but nothing on how to cut the front bushing or take out the front bolt. What do i have to do to take out and cut the front bushings? ANy help would be great as the car is in the air right now. Thanks
Dave
you need to remove the sway bar ends and drop the lower control arm to remove the bolts
also disconnect the shock from the lower control arm to gain more access to the bolt
remove the bolt put in a vise with something protecting the threads and use a hacksaw or reciprocating saw and cut them just below the big washer where the rubber starts for maximum drop reassemble and there you go
Jack the car up and put a jack stand under the leaf spring(front tires off car)I got a small crowbar and lifted up the spring and put a metal bar across the a arm and under spring so you don't have to fight with it,its a PITA but it worked and I didn't take any thing apart.

i used the same method. but to soften the bushing, i used a barbque fluid lighter and heated the bushing up to soften it, then used a steak knife to cut it and then used a flathead screwdriver to pry it off. it took me an hour and i didnt even have to undue any bolt nor drop the a arm.
An 8" inch bolt will be close to your drive axle.I would check that.Thats if your not using all the threads.I have a 7" bolt and it looks close. There is room between them.Just looks kind of close to me.
