help me decide /???
2000 a4 3:15 gear 224x224x567-114+4 cam long tube headers z06 intake , what gear and TQ should i put in 99% street driven ........ 99% of that is city driving . speed of about 20 to 40 mph this is what i'm thinking but i go down to BG every year for the CI so i love my 29mpg
#1 3:42 and a vig 2400 stall or 2800
#2 3:73 and vig 2800 stall
my future plans are to install a Maggie blower
Several guys have told me that the 3:42's are very nice with the Maggie. I went with the 3:42's and Yank Ss3200, so far it has been a nice setup.
If the car is to be an everyday driver I would go with the 3:42, if you plan on lots of track time 3.73 would do the trick just fine, just my 2c. Good luck on your improvement over those stock ratios

Since you already have 3:15's, I don't think there would be a huge noticable difference if you went with 3:42's. It would be much different if you were starting from 2:73's.

If you are set on changing the gears #1, otherwise I wouldn't change the gears out. You are going to have plenty of torque down low. Save the money on the gears for some new rubber
