I'm thinking about installing a gear in my MN-6 car and wondering if you would recommend a 3.90 or a 4.10 and what the difference between the two are (seems pretty close to me) and if there are pros/cons to either.
1. Planned Racing - 4.10s for quarter, 3.90s for road courses
2. Planned RWHP - under 500 4.10s over 500 3.90s or less
I have 4.10s and love them, but I knew I was going to be in the 470 rwhp range when I did them. Of course at the time I was also doing 1/4 mile racing so they made sense. Now moving over to road racing I am not too sure they are the best choice, but heck still are a ton of fun.
And if you do the Z06 tire size swap, that's another 3% reduction, for a total of 18%. If you did the 4.10's (w/ Z06 tires), that's 23%, a bit too steep IMHO.

I don't do much racing, but do hit up the local 1/4 mile tracks from time to time. The car makes 415 at the wheels and has run a best of 12.3 @ 119mph. I've never done any road course racing and don't really plan on it, but I do drive the car pretty much everyday. I was just looking for someting that would bring the rpms up a little quicker. I was leaning towards a 4.10, because I remember going from 3.23 to 3.73 in a Mustang and not noticing much of a difference, then swapping the 3.73 for a 4.30 and I loved it.

Like Bob said, depends on what you want to do with your car.
