Lighter Socket
My lighter socket popped out when I was removing the detector plug. When I examined I the socket, I noticed the bottom has a thread. (The brass portion which extends from the bottom and forms the base, center contact patch on the interior.)
I inserted it back in and after a little fiddling, it threaded back into the whatever it attaches to and locked back down and again works fine.
The repair was made in traffic.
Not brilliant but I thought originally that I would have to take the time to pull thewhole center console to get at it.
I did not notice any performance improvement as my wallet wasn't any lighter.
