Im looking to do the same. But my question is more on whats ideal to launch at. Ive got a fully built rear with 3.90s, DTE brace, Rodney built M6 and Aussie clutch.. Id say at least hardened output shafts are needed.

Same here... 1st day on new Ozzie clutch, 2nd launch was a 1.5 with oem 342 out back, dte brace and both output shafts upgraded... Not to hijac but can a 1.4 be done on a 342 rear? Hell anyone see 10s with a 342 NA? Great thread and I am here

If you cut 1.4's then your bound to break parts.
