Many of us call the OEM tires "runcraps" I think that gives you the gist...
There are a lot of other better tires out there....It just depends on the type of driving you intend to do and whther you want runflats or regualr tires... Define what you want and you will recieve a lot of input

I installed a set of Z06 width rims with a set of the Z06 Goodyear Supercar tires and it was one of the best mods that I ever did .

I drive in all weather, ex snow, I like to have a good time and run hard when I can, I don't drag on the strip, just street, and the tires that are on my c6 are ok in my app, I'm looking for a tire that is high performance, good grip, and a lil smoother ride, Are the run flats the way to go or is there something better?

The Goodyear GSD3s are far better than runflats. Consider that they:
1. Weigh 24 lbs less (total) and hence, offer
2. Far better ride
3. Less noise
4. Better rain-handling
5. Better wear (less wear)
All-in-all, they are excellent tires for the money.

GS-D3s are a good choice, as are the BFGoodrich KDW s. The KDs are dry weather tires only, so you'd want to look at the KDWs.
HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

The GS-D3's are indeed excellent as are the KDW's and the KDW's come in larger sizes in the 18's too. My KDW's in a 295/18 are working well for me.
